Love

Tonight, before tucking her in, I asked Ella who loved her - and she responded, "Mama, Dada, LIAM!" with a big smile. She absolutely loves her little brother and he cannot get enough of watching her... Last night, she allowed us to have a relatively peaceful dinner, as she entertained him in his bouncy chair. As Will would say, it was one of those times when 1 + 1 equaled less than 2! Here are some funny shots of the pair.

Smiling and splashing

Ella has a great rain outfit for the spring - a full-body rain jacket and snazzy cherry rain boots. She loves "flashing" (splashing - her sp's sound like f's) in mud puddles whenever it rains. And right around six or seven weeks, Liam started treating us to some great smiles.

Family time

We had a nice visit to Long Island for Grammie Sue's birthday and got some great family shots!

Ella's silly shots

It can be hard to get a "real" smile out of Ella, because she has gotten into the habit of oversmiling, but as soon as you hand her the batter-covered spoon, you're sure to see one! She loves baking, but mostly that's for the batter, to be sure...

Liam is getting bigger!

At 13-14 pounds by now and with a very strong neck, Liam is becoming more and more of a little man everyday. It seems that we knew something in advance when we chose his name, as his reddish hair makes him look quite Irish!

Aquariums and Zoos

We have made a couple special trips lately - one up to Mystic, CT to sing "Baby Beluga" at the Aquarium and make a pilgrimage to Mystic Pizza, and another to Bridgeport to the Beardsley Zoo (and its merry-go-round!) with some friends. After starting at the Ray Touch Tank at the aquarium and getting the chance to get her hands in the water, she was insistent upon touching all other exhibits, including the sharks. We ended up with some tears as a result, but in the end, had a great visit. Here are a couple of the best shots that we got from these adventures!

Catching up... on posts, and sleep (someday).

It has been a busy two months, but we are all doing well. We have tried to get photos of both Liam and Ella on a regular basis and even a couple family shots here and there. I am going to attempt to catch up on what we've been doing this past month!
