The kitchen sink

Liam continues to love his bath - and really got a kick out of his recent dip in the kitchen sink. Had to share these pics that his Grandma shot.

Poppa and the little man

Liam has spent some great time with his Poppa this week. Poppa loves babies and has really enjoyed getting to know grandchild #5 so much better as they explore gardens, watch people, and discuss life. They make a good pair and Poppa has made more than one offer to hang on to the little guy for the next six weeks (until we return for our trip to Alaska), which would make my return flight a lot more manageable, but I still think I'll pass...

To the farm

We had a wonderful visit to my grandparents' farm in Eastern Washington this week. It was great to see my Grandma and Grandpa Metzger, revisit a wonderfully familiar place and get to show Ella the grounds, some horses, a bird nest, etc. And we had a delicious ice cream birthday cake with bees for decoration!

Grandmas

Both of the grandmas were in town for Ella's birthday party and were an amazing help! We thank them both for being there!

Dancing girl

Ella found a whole bunch of necklaces and leis here at her Grandparents' house and it put her in a real dancing mood. Unfortunately, you have to watch sideways, sorry!

Ella turns three!

We had a nice little picnic party at our place in the second week of June to celebrate Ella's third birthday. Here are a couple pictures from those festivities!

The movie version...

Here it is.

Liam eats "solid" food!

With how eagerly and enthusiastically he watches us all bring food to our mouths, we decided to give Liam his first go at rice cereal yesterday. At most about one half teaspoon was actually ingested, but we had a lot of fun and my mom got some great photos and even a little video...

Outdoor fun

It has been hot and humid around here lately, but we ended up with a nice afternoon outdoors today. A bit hot, but with a cool breeze and just right for squirt guns and silliness. While Ella taught herself how to twist up the swing and spin, Liam slept (and snored) next door, oblivious to the passing lawn mower.
