Fun in the sun...

We had our first pool party the other day with Ella and some friends... It was very wet and lots of fun.

Here is a shot stolen from Facebook (thanks Jen Ross!) of Ella as a flower girl at David and Deanne's wedding on Saturday, May 2nd. What a great day it was! Ella dropped a few big handfuls of rose petals and made it all the way down the aisle to her mother's great delight.

Ella's growing up!

With her curls growing quickly and now fitting into a pony tail, Ella is really looking older every day... She is also rediscovering her voice and enjoying shouting out a very loud "Mom" and other things just to get our attention. We have had some moments where she will swim on the floor in frustration, but in general, she has been very clear at communicating her needs and easily entertained/distracted with tickles, silly voices, songs and books. She's tons of fun.

In HER kitchen

Ella loves the kitchen that she got for a Christmas present this year and spends a good amount of time washing dishes (complete with "pssshhh" noises), bringing us creative culinary combinations and dumping out bags of plastic food. Here she is in ANOTHER set of jammies, playing away!

Jammies and TV

Ella was doing some yoga while watching TV the other day in her pink piggie jammies and I just had to catch it on film. She insists on wearing her jammies for afternoon naps, so she ends up spending a fair amount of time in them! We'll see how that changes when the temperature rises...
