Liam chose to arrive on a night when all four grandparents were here in Wallingford - both convenient and considerate. Here are some family shots that we have gotten in his first week. He has been sleeping and eating like a champ and spending a lot of time alert and awake, looking around at his new world. We are loving this mellow temperament and know to appreciate how easy he is taking it on his parents and sis. Ella is very excited about her new role as big sister and loves to check out his little fingers and toes. She has had a few tough moments in the adjustment to a four-person family, but for the most part, she has welcomed her brother very warmly into her life.
It is funny to call one's first day "Day Zero", but that is the custom we've learned. Liam has certainly done a lot in this non-day. Right from the start, he has been a very alert but mellow guy. He has been watching us intently when awake and enjoying some good down time, which we appreciate enormously.
Ella has become a real dancer lately. She loves to put on Peter, Paul & Mary ("Puff the Magic Dragon" or "The Fox Song") and Raffi ("Bananaphone") and dance gleefully around the room. We cannot wait for her to meet baby brother and entertain him with her moves.
We were thrilled to welcome William (Liam) Preston Morris into the world this morning here in New Haven, CT. All are doing very well, but need some good rest. Will post some photos soon.

Just a test image to see how posting from my phone works.
