In HER kitchen

Ella loves the kitchen that she got for a Christmas present this year and spends a good amount of time washing dishes (complete with "pssshhh" noises), bringing us creative culinary combinations and dumping out bags of plastic food. Here she is in ANOTHER set of jammies, playing away!

Jammies and TV

Ella was doing some yoga while watching TV the other day in her pink piggie jammies and I just had to catch it on film. She insists on wearing her jammies for afternoon naps, so she ends up spending a fair amount of time in them! We'll see how that changes when the temperature rises...

Dry, curly and DANCING!

After cleaning up and drying off, Ella had fun dancing to her Music Together songs on the couch. Here are some action shots of that event. It's been a nice morning.
XO to all,

Hose, water, fun...

We were out in the yard watering this morning (since we didn't get the rain that was forecast) and Ella decided that she wanted to play in the "raindrops" and "rainbows". She giggled with glee as she chased me around the yard, trying to get into the stream of the hose as I targeted dry plants. It was pretty sweet. Thank goodness that spring is here!

Dressing up

Ella has been having fun lately trying on Momma and Dada's clothes or wearing her own clothes in funny new ways... In this picture she is wearing my brown socks on her feet and her pink pants around her ankles. That's just how she wanted to eat her snack. She certainly has her own ideas these days and she is doing a very good job expressing them, for the most part...

In Dada's shoes...

She tried them on last night and walked around for a minute or two... We thought it was pretty sweet.

Spring is here...

With alternating rain and sun this past week, we are all so glad to exchange our wardrobes and have more opportunities to be outside. Ella has started to do a fair amount of "work" (as she calls it) in the yard, which unfortunately means moving dirt from one bed to another and often dropping it on top of some of our sweet little flowers. She doesn't pat them down and bury them, but she sprinkles them with rather large dirt clods which I don't think they like. Good thing she likes washing her hands (because soap involves bubbles, presumably), because she comes in with dirt caked on at least three to four times a day. She has now gotten to the point of repeating even those words that you don't necessary intend to have parroted (such as "gamy" in a description of laundry), so the time has come to watch out!
Here are a couple sweet pictures from the last week. It is funny seeing how many teeth she has when she smiles for the bathtub shot! I don't know if it is a reaction to the flash, but her "smiley" face is pretty extreme!
xo to all,
H
